About Sara...
Sara is a Limited Term Lecturer at Purdue University, and has a MFA in Photography. (View my art by navigating the menu on the left.) She currently co-leads a community Girl Scout Troop, volunteers as a part of the West Lafayette Public Art Team, and helped plan and run many of the 2018-2019 Elementary School Parent Council Events.
Why run for school board?
I want more honest and open communication from the board. I'm here to help every caregiver feel like they have a voice when it comes to their child's education.
What education priorities do you have?
ARTS!!! The state recently published a study that shows that art integration into the classroom helps students increase engagement, writing skills, and communication. Read the summary here.
Why do we need another white lady?
Yes, I know I'm just another white lady running. Honestly I would rather have you vote for Yue Yin than me. Diversity is extremely important and I support every initiative that WL CARE asked for.
